On slopes of 2-1/2: 12 to less than 4:12 for Napa
"S" tiles, and on slopes of 2-1/2 : 12 to less than 3:12 for all others, the
tile is considered decorative material only, and must be installed over an approved roof
covering complying with the code, subject to approval of the building official.
Underlayment for Napa "S" tiles at slopes of 4:12 and above is minimum Type 40
as-phalt-saturated roofing felt.
2.8 Identification:
Each tile is embossed with the words "Redland,
Mexico." In addition, each pallet is identified with the evaluation report number
(ICBO ES ER-4300), the Redland Clay Tile name, and the product name.

4.0 FINDINGS
That the "S" Tile, Napa "S"
Tile, Two-piece Mission Tile, Baja Mission Tile, Eurobaja Tile and Roman Tile are Class A
roof coverings complying with the 1994 Uniform Building Code, and are
noncombustible roof coverings complying with the 1996 Accumulative Supplement, subject to
the following conditions:
4.1 The roofing tiles are manufactured, identified
and installed in accordance with this report and the manufacturer's instructions.
4.2 The roofing tiles are manufactured at the
Tecate, Mexico, facility.
This report is subject to re-examination in two
