Mc 107 GRIP McCLIPS - Also known as hurricane clips or storm clips. Control wind uplift and restrict detrimental roof tile movement by attaching on the side interlock or water channel as opposed to the butt end of the tile. Grip McClips therefore are NOT visible after installation and do NOT set or fix the exposure to the weather or head lap of the tile as do Tile McHooks. Most commonly used with concrete tile and clay flat shingle tile but may also be used with clay one-piece 'S' Spanish tile. Available in various sizes for different applications. NO slope limitations and may be used with ALL U.B.C. recognized methods of tile attachment including the Wire Works Systems. GS. B.

Mc 108 McHOOK NAILS - Combine two fasteners into one, accomplishing the same tasks as a #Mc 106 Clay Tile McHooks and a 1-1/4" length nail. (Please refer to #Mc 106 Clay Tile McHooks.) Excellent for mansards and steeper pitch roofs where a wind lock is desired. Thus simplifies installer's job since one fastener is handled instead of two. The McHook Nail is nailed into the wood deck at least 6" away from the clay tile, further up the roof slope which significantly lessens the risk of fracturing the tile upon installation. Also because the point of penetration into the wood deck is away from the nail hole of the tile and not directly in line or in the same plane with it, the chance of leveraging out the nail with extreme wind uplift is therefore reduced. Available for a 3" or a 4" head lap or without the 'McHook' (wind lock) provision. GS, C, B, SS.

  INTRODUCING A NEW PRODUCT

Mc 109 CONCRETE TILE McHOOKS - Accomplish the same purpose as #Mc 106 Clay Tile McHooks but are designed specifically for concrete roof tile and clay flat shingle tile. (Please refer to #Mc 106 Clay Tile McHooks.) Available for a 3" or a 4" head lap. Brass Concrete Tile McHooks secured with brass nails would be an ideal, long lasting fastening combination for concrete roof tile installed in a wet, corrosive environment, i.e., coastal areas. They have NO slope limitations and may be used with ALL U.B.C. recognized methods of tile attachment.  Available in baked-on polyester painted steel in several colors, galvanized steel, and brass Patent Applied for.

Mc 110 COPPER SLATING NAILS - Used primarily for slate roofing due to copper's compatibility with slate. In their book, Slate Roofs, the National Slate Association states: "Slate, being a  permanent material, is worthy of care and thought in the proper selection of the various materials used in connection with it, and especially as to the method of securing the slate to the roof construction.... Plain ordinary galvanized nails should not be used for laying slate.... The proper size may be determined by adding 1 inch to twice the thickness of the slate." Copper Slating Nails are also used for roofing applications where a fastener with superior quality and performance over that of galvanized steel is desired, especially in wet, corrosive environments, i.e.. coastal areas. In such cases the use of copper fasteners along with copper sheet metal and copper pipe vent flashings will be a significant upgrade from galvanized steel. Copper Slating Nails are manufactured with a large diameter head with either a smooth shank or ring barb shank. Available in lengths from 3/4" to 3" in 1/4" increments and in lengths from 4" to 10" in 1" increments, as well as the popular 5-1/2" nail. The gauge size varies depending upon the length of the nail.

WE ALSO MANUFACTURE BRASS AND STAINLESS STEEL NAILS.

Mc 111 SLATE NAIL McHOOKS - This style of fastener has been in widespread use for several years in Europe and is used to install slate roofing in lieu of slating nails. Provides for the installation of slate not pre-punched with nail holes and allows for quick, easy replacement of broken slate versus two slating nails. Attaches to the butt end of the slate and therefore provides the added protection benefits similar to the #Mc 106 Clay Tile Mc Hooks and #Mc 109 Concrete Tile McHooks. Slate Nail McHooks may be combined with slating nails for additional security. (Available in black phosphate coated steel, black oxide penetrated brass, black oxide penetrated stainless steel, copper, brass, and stainless steel.)
