A 5" DEEP STRUCTURAL RAFTER SYSTEM
The SOLARVIEW 2500 system is the largest of the
SOLARVIEW commercial skylight framing systems. Our SOLARVIEW monumental skylighting
systems provide even greater capabilities. the SOLARVIEW 2500 system has 5" deep
rafters. Like the SOLARVIEW 2300 and 2400 systems, it provides many state of the art
benefits. Both I-Beam Rafters, for economy, and tubular Rafters, for the cleanest
possible sight lines and greater strength, are available. There are numerous purlin,
mounting and glazing cap options and the system can be tape, dry, or structural silicone
glazed. Many options are shown on pages 5, 6, 7 and 11.
This system also offers our unique ball and socket
title mount method. On most installations, this mounting method eliminates the need for
sloped curb construction or special supports at the sill. The tilting main frame can
rotate up to 125 degrees to accommodate any angle of slope (see page 11). The system is also available with the older,
inclined curb (ledger) mounting methods commonly used in the commercial skylight industry.
Nearly any anodized or painted finish is available.
A multiple cascade condensation gutter system (which
surrounds each light) is standard and causes any condensate to drop when transitioning
from one member to the next on its path to the exterior. The condensate exists through our
advanced hooded weep holes.
Extreme versatility, combined with the many quality
features of design, sturdy, weathertight construction and rapid installation and glazing
make the SOLARVIEW 2500 system an excellent choice for nearly any project.
