SPACE ENCLOSURE SYSTEM
The SUNROOM 5400 system will be a welcome addition to any office
complex, retail outlet, or residence. It accommodates glazing materials from 3/16" to
1 1/4" thick (preparation for 1" thick material is standard). It will
accommodate nearly any style of window or door. Commercial bronze anodizing is standard
and most other anodized and painted finishes are available. The exclusive knee joint
(Detail C) allows the roof of this "hard eave" SUNROOM system to slope at nearly
any angle.
Condensation gutters are an integral part of each extrusion. Each
condensation gutter is higher than the next, so any water drops from one member to the
next on its path to the exterior. The sill condensation gutters are drained out through
weep holes and a pressure relief chamber to protect against air and moisture infiltration.
The frames are shipped in preassembled sections for fast installation and glazing. Most
units are fabricated to meet the criterion of the specific job. Standard systems are also
available for greater economy. Please inquire for details.
These drawings depict the most common details used in the SUNROOM
5400 system, which is suitable for use on space enclosure applications with rafter spans
of up to 10 feet. See page 17 for examples of
several ways to create a wide variety of other SUNROOM enclosures using combinations of
our SOLARVIEW overhead and VISTA vertical glazing systems. In addition to the angled eave
SUNROOMS depicted, REGAL also has radiused eave units available. Please see the photo on

The versatile, extremely weathertight, unique SUNROOM 5400 system is
an ideal product for use in many space enclosure applications.
