ARCHITECTURAL SPECIFICATIONS:
PART 1 GENERAL
1.01 SUMMARY
A. Section Includes: Sliding Mirror Doors by Regal
Manufacturing Company (IMAGE 1100, 1101, 1120, 1121).
B. Related Work By Others: Framed openings, including
wood and steel components except fasteners connecting manufacturer supplied components.
1.02 WARRANTY
A. Regal Manufacturing Company warrants its products to
be free of significant defects in materials or workmanship for one year from shipment
date. (Actual Warranty text provided as part of each invoice.)
PART 2 PRODUCTS
2.01 MATERIALS
A. MANUFACTURER: Regal Manufacturing Company, a

B. Panel Frame Members and top and bottom tracks:
Aluminum 6063-T5 extrusions, complying with ASTM B-221. Reversible channel head, with
1" vertical adjustment. Models:
IMAGE 1100: 5/8" wide stiles; fluted exposed
surface on rails.
IMAGE 1101: 5/8" wide stiles; flat exposed
surface on rails.
IMAGE 1120: 1 5/8" wide fluted stiles; fluted
exposed surface on rails.
IMAGE 1121: 1 5/8" wide fluted stiles; flat
exposed surface on rails.
Top track provides both a fluted and a flat face for
versatility.
Bottom track is smoothly contoured for easy cleaning.
C. Panel Glazing:
Standard Glazing: Clear, 4mm thick float mirror with
protective backing. (Other thicknesses, special colors and patterns, available on special
order.)
Mirror and Backing: Tested and in compliance with
ANSI Z97.1-1975 and UBC (1982) 54-2.
a. Category 1: Reach-in applications only. (All doors)
b. Category 2: Reach-in or passage applications. (Verify with Mfg. for doors to meet
Category 2.)
D. Hardware and Accessories
Fasteners: Steel screws, countersunk in pre-punched
installation holes.
Glazing Channel: Color compatible glazing vinyl and
removable, replaceable, reusable, rubber bumpers.
Roller Assemblies: Heavy duty, steel construction,
patio door type, nylon tire ball bearing rollers with 1/4" vertical adjustment.
Top Guides: Anti-rattle vinyl top guides.
Door Pull: Full length finger groove.
E. Finishes:
Standard colors:
a. Door Models 1100 and 1101: Champagne (Satin) Gold
Anodized; Bronze (Satin) Anodized; Clear (Satin) Anodized.
b. Door Models 1120 and 1121: Champagne (Satin) Gold Anodized; Bronze (Satin) Anodized.
c. All visible screws and accessories shall be color coordinated with frame finish.
Custom Colors: (Custom colors and finishes available
on special order basis.)
2.03 FABRICATION
A. Shop Pre-Assembly:
Fabricate to sizes and configurations indicated on
Drawings. (Refer to Manufacturer's Size Table for standard sizes.)
Mechanically join corners of panel frames with
countersunk, plated steel screws.
Provide each panel with two adjustable bottom roller
assemblies which, in combination with deep channel head, shall provide total of up to
1¼" vertical adjustment.
PART 3 EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Preparation: Examine openings for sliding doors
prior to commencing installation. Notify Architect, in writing, if conditions detrimental
to proper installation exist. Do not begin installation until such conditions are
corrected.
B. Install sliding mirror doors in accordance with
Contract Documents and Manufacturer's printed Installation Instructions supplied with
doors.
