where the elements of weather and water are involved,
plus much more. |

Yes, Polyboard can be painted. |

Can Polyboard burn? |
 |
It will resist fire better than wood, but Polyboard can also
become fire rated. |

Is Polyboard heavier than plywood? |
 |
Yes it is about 20% heavier than plywood, but it will always
maintain that weight, unlike plywood when exposed
to water. |

How do you cut and fasten Polyboard? |
 |
You can cut Polyboard with a carbide tipped saw blade and
you can fasten it with nails or screws (screws hold
better). |

What type of glue will stick to Polyboard? |
 |
So far we have only found that contact cement and a double
sided commercial foam tape will stick to the Polyboard.

Will Polyboard get slippery when wet? |
 |
No, Polyboard does will not get slippery when wet. |

Out of the four colors Polyboard is available in, is any
one of the colors better against the sun's UV rays? |
 |
Yes, the white color is better because the light coloring
reflects the sun's rays better. However, we do put
a UV protector in the die colors to protect it. |
