APPLICATION:

1. Backnail Each Shingle with Two Nails 9 1/2 Inches from the Exposed End. 

2. Continue to Apply Ridglass with 8 Inch Exposure. All Nails to be Covered by the Succeeding Shingle at least 1 Inch.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

HIGH WIND AREAS:
Seal Down Each Installed Ridge Unit with Elastomeric Adhesive which Meets ASTM D-4586, Type 1 or Face Nail Each Shingle with Two Nails - One on Each Side as Shown.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Use 11 or 12 Gauge Galvanized Roofing Nails with 7/16 Inch Heads and Long Enough to Penetrate the Roof Deck 3/4 Inch.

COLD WEATHER:
When applying Ridglass in Cold Climate (under 50° F), Unpack Carton on the Roof and Allow the Shingles to Warm before Application.
