This balcony's job-built railings fail to meet the height, midrail, toeboard, or strength requirements of OSHA. The supports nailed into the permanent structure will be removed prior to drywall installation. The balcony is likely to remain unprotected, creating a hazardous fall exposure for workers and members of the public, until the permanent railings are installed.

Safety Boots anchored directly into the subflooring create free-standing railings that can remain in place throughout construction, including drywall installation. The posts on each side of the stairway are used to connect the stairrails and the guardrails together. This completed guardrail system meets all OSHA requirements and eliminates fall exposures.

The Safety Boot Railing System is superior to any job or shop built temporary railing system.
