LOCK-OUT BOXES

Made of aluminum and steel, wall mounted style and pedestal style lock-out boxes are designed for alternative locking systems. Each aluminum door includes a 1-1/4" W x 1/4" H slot, a pull knob and a hasp for locking. Ideal for OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety applications, lock-out boxes are designed to accept a lock-out clamp (#5090). Lock-out boxes can also be used as miniature storage lockers or in locations where individuals are required to supply their own private locking devices. Units include solid rear covers. No master front access provides added security.

LOCK-OUT BOXES MEET OSHA SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
A "lock-out" is a safety prevention measure to temporarily deactivate equipment. Lock-out box compartments store machinery keys allowing work teams to safely maintain equipment. Each operator servicing a machine can prevent it from accidental turn-on by applying a personal lock to the lock-out box. Access to the machinery keys cannot be obtained until each operator has removed the personal lock.
