| A. Vinyl Wallcovering shall meet or
exeed the requirements of the following standards: |

CFFA-W-101B Quality
Standard for Vinyl Coated Fabric Wallcovering |
|
2. |
Federal Specification
CCC-W-408D |
|
|
| B. Additionally, all
wallcoverings: |
|
1. |
Shall be protected by
an acrylic resin top coating, and |
|
2. |
Shall meet additional
performance requirements as indicated within the specification. |
|
|
| C. Scrubbability:
Wallcovering must withstand the following tests without appreciable damage to the printed
or base surface: |
|
1. |
Immersion for 24 hours
in a solution of 75% bleach, 25% water with no color change after thirty (30) seconds of
scrubbing with a nylon bristle brush. |
|
2. |
CFFA-130 in accordance
with ASTM-F793-93. |
|
3. |
CCC-W-408D Paragraph
4.4.2. |
|
|
| D. Stain Resistance: No
appreciable stain or discoloration after 24 hour exposure to mustard, lipstick, betadine,
ballpoint pen, and catsup. Test procedures are specified by: |
|
1. |
ASTM D 1308. |
|
2. |
CCC-W-408D Paragraph
4.4.5. |
|
3. |
Additionally, bleach
and/or 99% isopropyl should be used to remove more stubborn stains by scrubbing for 30
seconds with a nylon bristle brush. |
|
| E. Mildew Resistance:
Growth rate of "0" as determined by ASTM-G21-90. |
|
|
| F. Staphyloccus Aureus
Resistance: 100% reduction within 24 hours. |
|
|
| G. Manufacturers shall
offer a five year limited warranty covering all wallcoverings used on the project. |
