| The Ideal Solution For Holeless
Hydraulic Elevator Installations The
Schindler 300A Gemini Dual Jack System utilizes two mechanically synchronized
jacks positioned diagonally from each other near the front and rear of the hoistway.
Each jack's telescoping plunger sections open out as the
elevator travels up the hoistway. An external chain assembly synchronizes the jack section
movement. Its straightforward design is easy to inspect and service. Because the external
synchronization system keeps the jack sections in the correct position at all times, ride
performance is consistently smooth.

Advantages Of Holeless Installation
Holeless installation is the preferred applications where :
- obstructions stand in the way of drilling
- subsurface placement of a jack hold would be impossible
(such as hoistway over occupied space, aboard ships, etc.)
- local codes restrict the use of in-ground jacks
- installation would require inside drilling (as in renovation
projects)
- drilling would be prohibitively expensive.
With a holeless installation, a number of potential
problems can be eliminated:
- the need to comply with complex regulations regarding
in-ground hydraulic oil tanks
- the expense of drilling an in-ground jack hole
- the need to hire a separate drilling contractor
- the job site coordination at drilling prior to construction.
