Schindler has been a pioneer in the development of superior
vertical transportation systems since its founding in Switzerland in 1874. That tradition
continues with the development of the Miconic A traction elevator system - the most technologically advanced
elevator system available for mid-rise buildings. This latest addition to the Miconic
family is unsurpassed in quality, performance and reliability. It can be applied to banks
of one to eight cars, with up to 40 openings per car.
Components of the Miconic A system undergo an
extraordinarily comprehensive testing program from design through manufacturing and
installation. For example, more than 2,100 system tests are completed during software
development alone. Whenever a new control feature is added, a test of the entire control
system is conducted. And finally, before shipment, a system test exercises the equipment
under simulated job-site conditions.
ISO 9000
Proof of Schindler's commitment to customer satisfaction is
our esteemed ISO 9000 certification for quality assurance, the first ever awarded to an
elevator company in the United States. Under the ISO 9000 umbrella is Schindler's global
product creation process. The Miconic A system is the first Schindler product to pass
through its stringent development milestones, including quality and performance checks at
each design phase, and close coordination with Schindler's worldwide research and
development centers.
Schindler's extensive test procedures mean faster
installation with fewer on-site adjustments. And they help maintain the highest standards
of quality - on which Schindler has built its reputation for more than a century. |
