Sophisticated Control System

The Miconic A system employs multiple microprocessors for each car to manage the supervisory, operating and drive controls. It includes a variety of supervisory control features, including those typically requested by building owners.

Smooth ride

By continuously comparing actual elevator position versus an ideal position/time profile, the Miconic A drive control provides desired acceleration and deceleration rates. The result : an extraordinarily smooth ride, comparable to that of more expensive high-speed, high-rise gearless applications.

Fast, efficient performance

Five times per second, the Miconic A system identifies every call in the building and assigns elevators based on the shortest passenger waiting time. All calls and assignments are reviewed continuously. As in our Miconic V system, optical encoders are used to provide reliable, accurate position feedback information.

Consistent ride, accurate landings

The sophisticated digital position drive control system is designed to bring cars directly to floor level with exceptional accuracy. Miconic A cars don't stop first, then move to adjust for final floor position.

Quiet operation

A silent, advanced optical landing system replaces mechanical components to monitor the car's position as it approaches the floor. The Miconic A system's door operator and technologically advanced door controller work together to optimize door responsiveness and minimize noise.

Responsive doors

Highly sensitive closed feedback loops in the operating controls consistently monitor door velocity and acceleration to verify that door movement accurately tracks the prescribed door travel pattern. The door controller adjusts torque on the door motor to compensate for stack effect, heavy main-floor doors or any other factor that might slow door movement - even dirt in the track.
