Ride Enhancement

The ultimate in passenger comfort is elevator travel so smooth and quiet that passengers barely realize the car is moving. If your building requires this degree of sophistication, Schindler's optional Ride Enhancement package is designed to provide it. Schindler engineers developed this impressive option through creative innovations to components invisible to passengers, yet crucial to their comfort.

Precision design specifications coupled with tight manufacturing and test criteria yield dynamically balanced hoisting equipment - a critical component in achieving superior ride quality. Heavier gauge rails, specially designed fastenings, and special sound and vibration-isolating materials are among those techniques used to achieve greater passenger comfort.

Exacting standards of installation and highly-trained field technicians bring the equipment together with a dedication to quality and attention to detail that is unsurpassed. The integration of solid mechanical designs with superior motion control and expert installation make the Schindler ride one of the finest in the vertical transportation industry.

Installation - Fast and Consistent

Schindler recognizes that final assembly of an elevator system occurs at the customer's building. For that reason, Schindler designed the Miconic A system for problem-free installation.

For example, a microprocessor-generated speed pattern eliminates time consuming trial-and-error adjustments. This procedure reduces installation time and improves installation consistency. Serial wiring techniques and the single-control-cabinet-per-car concept also contribute to faster installation time.

Ongoing training programs in our Research Center provide Schindler field technicians with hands-on training on new products prior to local installation. Technicians learn advanced techniques from simulated and actual job-site conditions.
