| Miconic VX New Decentralized Hardware Architecture

Every elevator in the group has its own dedicated Miconic
VX controller, each capable of operating independently if any other unit is switched off.
The controllers communicate along a serial group bus, which also distributes landing call
information and provides the link via a gateway to other monitoring or control modules.
Each individual controller is linked through its own
communication bus to its car computer and drive control. Miconic VX uses this bus to
inform the drive of landing stops, instruct the car to open and close doors and maintain a
two-way digital dialog on the status of call registration devices, indicators and other
systems.
Automatic Control Backup
If for any reason AITP should go off-line, the Miconic VX
decentralized cot-of-service algorithm - incorporating full Up-and Down-Peak and other
advanced features - immediately assumes full control authority. The changeover is
automatic and seamless, and is, for all passengers, unnoticeable.
Lobby VisionTM - Building
Management System
Schindler LobbyVisionTM provides building management
with centralized information and control capabilities. All elevators in a building or
complex can be supervised in real time on-screen from a single monitoring station.
LobbyVision's screen menus give access to implemented
features, such as VIP service, elevator switching and emergency facilities. Operating data
is also collected and stored in memory, and statistical outputs are automatically
generated.
Servitel® Telemonitoring
Servitel® is a Schindler-operated remote monitoring facility, designed to
give 24-hour peace of mind to elevator ownership. It provides continuous supervision of
elevator performance, and can call out mobile technicians if necessary.
Servitel also offers 24-hour two-way voice communication
between the elevator and the control center, enabling rapid response to a passenger alert.
Both Servitel and LobbyVision are optional facilities with
all Miconic VX controls.
