SPECIFICATION DATA FOR ORNAMENTAL METAL SHEETS

THE METALS WE USE MOST

Stainless Steel: While always identical in color, it has different performance criteria, especially corrosion resistance. Available in Alloys: 304, 315, and 430.

Brass: Main distinctions are color and availability. Available in four Alloys:

• 464 - "Naval Brass"
• 220 - "Commercial Bronze"
• 260 - "Cartridge Brass"
• 280 - "Muntz"

All finished surfaces are clear lacquer coated to insure a lasting brilliance.

Bronze: Contrary to widespread belief, Bronze is not available in sheet form (Bronze  is a Copper and Tin alloy.)

Titanium: This exotic metal with a very high strength to weight ratio, as well as excellent corrosion resistance, make it ideal for exterior applications. No clear coats or surface sealant are required.

Aluminum: Can be decorated in virtually the same manner as Stainless Steel. However, unlike Stainless Steel, Aluminum can be fabricated with conventional woodworking equipment. Its high strength to weight makes it ideal for applications from ceiling panels to aircraft interiors. All finished surfaces are clear lacquer coated to insure a lasting brilliance.

STANDARD FINISHES

Mirror Polish: As standard #8 polish, it has a slight grain. As Super Mirror, it has nor grain at all.

Bright Annealed (BA): A bright reflective finish produced at the mill. It can be used in lieu of #8 for small polish areas.

Non-directional Satin: A finish without grain direction. It can be repaired and matched at the job site.

Long Grain Satin: Brushed vertically, horizontally or otherwise, its fine grain can be repaired and matched at the job site.

Textures: Random swirls obtained by grinding, Pearl Satin or other proprietary or non-proprietary surface textures created as vandal resistant or simply as border to border high-tech finishes.

CUSTOM METAL GRAPHICS

All of our standard and special finishes can be combined to produce an unlimited number of custom designs.

Brushed Graphics: By combining two or more directions of grain, we can achieve any type of pattern, producing a three dimensional effect with razor sharp definition. it is possible to reproduce very small details and fine lines. Unlike the matte finishing of etching, brushed surfaces always look brightly metallic and are very easy to clean.
