FROM CONCEPT TO PRODUCTION

1. CONCEPT AND SAMPLE REQUEST

Many times a simple sketch showing approximate dimensions, finishes, and metal color is sufficient  to estimate cost and eventually produce a preliminary sample. Additional information required is job name, usage, thickness and quantities.

Detail provided by Architect/Designer for the making of custom sample

  • AutoCAD DWG and DXF files
  • Any graphic file (JPEG, TIFF, BMP, GIF, EPS, and PSD
  • Photocopies
  • Camera ready art


2. SAMPLE APPROVAL PROCESS

Samples need to be approved by the specifier before shop drawings can be issued.

 

3. SHOP DRAWING APPROVAL PROCESS

With the approved sample and a quotation the client creates a purchase order. Prior to production the specifier and/or client shall approve a shop drawing, produced by Surface Design + Technology, authorizing fabrication of the job.
