SHOWER SEATS
Seachrome offers a wide line of heavy-duty, stainless steel
frame, folding, shower seats. Seats are available in a wide variety of frame styles, seat
materials, sizes and configurations.
100% AMERICAN MADE. Seachrome shower seats
meet Fed. Spec. WW-P-541/8b, Amendment 1, 16 April, 1999 and ANSI 117.1. When properly
installed, all shower seats are designed and manufactured to exceed all applicable federal
load specifications and... COMPLY WITH ALL A.D.A. REQUIREMENTS.
CONSTRUCTION:
Frame: Type 304 (18-8), stainless steel
tubing, 1-1/4" (32mm) x 18 ga (1.2mm) square main frame with 1" (25mm) x 18 ga
(1.2mm) round cross members.
Wall Flanges: Two (2) type 304 (18-8)
stainless steel flanges, 10 ga (3.4mm) x 3" (76mm) diameter, heliarc welded to
1" (25mm) round x 18 ga (1.2mm) 90 degree leg supports, and to 1-1/4" (32mm)
round x 12 ga (2.7mm) frame hinge couplings. Three mounting holes in each flange.
Support Leg: "U"-shaped yoke of
type 304 (18-8) stainless steel tubing, 1" (25mm) round x 18 ga (1.2mm), heliarc
welded to 1-1/4" (32mm) round x 12 ga (2.7mm) frame hinge couplings.
Guide Bracket: Type 304 (18-8) stainless
steel, 18 ga (1.2mm) x 3" (76mm) wide, constant friction, wall mounted guide bracket,
with positive for raised position.
STANDARD SEAT MATERIALS:
"NH" White Naugahyde covering
2" (51mm) thick foam rubber, mounted on 1/2" (13mm) thick marine plywood.
"PH" Phenolic (White or Teak)
1/2" (13mm) thick x 3" (76mm) wide slats bolted to frame with contersunk
stainless steel screws and cap nuts.
EASY-MOUNT TEMPLATE:
All Seachrome Model #400, #401 and #410 shower seat are
provided with an easy-mount installation template, which allows fast, simple and accurate
installation by one installer. Simply tape the template on the wall in the correct
location, drill the holes, and secure the seat with the appropriate mounting hardware.
Installations have never been more efficient.
OPERATION:
Constant friction, wall mounted bracket guides
"U"-shaped yoke freely up and down, resulting in low pressure constant spring
action to raise and lower seat. Seat is automatically held in raised position by positive
stop friction spring bracket.
SPECIAL FINISHES & MATERIALS:
In addition to a standard brushed satin finish, seat frames
may be manufactured in a wide variety of special finishes including, but not limited to,
bright brass, antique brass, polished stainless, powder coated and 24K gold plated.
