DESCRIPTION OF SAMPLE TESTED


MODEL/TYPE:

All Vinyl Window System.

CONFIGURATION:

O (36 TIDL Lites).

FRAME SIZE:

49 1/8" wide by 49 1/8" high.

FIXED DAYLIGHT OPENING:

Not Applicable.

FRAME TYPE:

Vinyl.

JOINT CONSTRUCTION:

All corners were mitered, fitted with metal corner keys, and screw-connected. All corner joints were silicone sealed.

GLAZING COMPONENTS:

 

 

BLOCK SIZE:

7-3/4" wide by 7-3/4" high each.

 

BLOCK DEPTH:

3-1/8" deep.

 

MORTAR COMPOUND:

None.

GLAZING SYSTEM:

The 36 glass blocks were arranged 6 columns wide by 6 rows high, bedded against double sided foam glazing tape and silicone sealant on the interior side of the glazing pocket and retained by vinyl snap bead on the exterior side. Silicone sealant was also used around the entire perimeter interior frame to glass joint, all vinyl spacer to glass block joints, and all interior and exterior glass block joints. The glass blocks were separated by a vinyl stack spacer system.

From the fixed glazing pocket, draining through the exterior bottom snap bead at 9-1/4" from each end.
