| Designations for compact
fluorescent lamp types and base configurations are an evolving system. Each manufacturer
has adopted their own proprietary identifications. NEMA, the National Electrical
Manufacturers Association, has developed a "Universal" system for the
designation and specification of lamps and bases. This system is still not widely used.
Shaper attempts to design fixtures that do not use single source
lamps and we do not endorse any specific brands.
Due to space limitations in our catalog and catalog numbering system
Shaper has not adopted the NEMA system.
Consequently, we also have our own method of identifying lamp types.
To reduce confusion, we have provided our lamp designations at the
far left, cross referenced to the NEMA code, base type, pin count and each specific lamp
manufacturers own designation. Additional useful information is also included.
While there are other lamp manufacturers that make similar products,
our cross reference is limited to major suppliers.
Consult lamp manufacturers catalogs for additional information.
Notes:
1. Manufacturers complete lamp designations are not shown. Color temperature
designations are omitted.
2. Lamps not commonly used by Shaper are not shown
