| WALL MOUNTED INTERIOR |
USER GUIDE |
This section offers the specifier a large variety of shapes and
styles of interior wall mounted fixtures, including vanity fixtures. Although many
interior fixtures can be specified for damp exterior use, Section D, Wall
Mounted Exterior, contains fixtures suitable for wet exterior locations.
MODIFIED FIXTURES
With our resource of skilled craftspeople we offer the designer the flexibility to tailor
our standard fixtures to meet special design criteria. Many application photos show
modified fixtures, which are denoted by an M in front of the
catalog number, i.e. M662.
SELECTION GUIDE
When selecting wall mounted fixtures first determine whether or not it must comply with
ADA requirements. Also, consider sightlines, as shown below.

SIGHTLINES
When wall mounted fixtures are used in or near stairways or can be viewed from a balcony,
consider the use of a louver or translucent top cover. These are offered as options on
many fixtures for which a top view may be a problem.
FINISHES
Shaper offers both plated and solid base metal finishes, depending on the fixture. Painted
finishes are available for all designs. The availability of special finishes varies with
the fixture design. Call your Rep or the factory for finishes not shown.
ADA AND LIGHTING
The Americans with Disabilities Act, known as ADA, affects light fixtures used in
circulation or egress spaces. In practice this means that wall mounted fixtures located
below 68 AFF in halls, corridors, passageways or aisles, must be no greater
than 4 deep. Shaper offers a wide variety of compliant fixtures. These fixtures are
denoted by the ADA symbol. Keep in mind that the ADA affects construction for both new and
existing buildings.

MOUNTING HEIGHTS
The dimensional drawing for each fixture indicates a mounting center, denoted by the
plus sign ( + ). If no dimension is shown it represents the center of the
fixture and the J-box. If it is not the center point, it is dimensioned.
