#420 Hinge
Specifically designed with square  edges for metal doors. The Underwriters Laboratories labeled #420 SOSS Invisible Hinge can be used on hollow metal, sheet metal, tin clad, and steel composite swinging type fire doors rated up to and including 3 hours. Allow no more than 20" of door height and 60 pounds per hinge.

#418 Hinge
The Underwriters Laboratories labeled #418 SOSS Invisible Hinge can be used on hollow metal, sheet metal, tin clad and steel composite swinging type fire doors rated up to and including 3 hours. Also, it can be used on wood core doors rated up to 20 minutes. Additionally, it can be used on wood/plastic composite doors constructed with Georgia Pacific FSM-1 or FSM-2 banding for a rating up to and including 90 minutes. Allow no more than 20" of door height and 60 pounds per hinge. Special jamb and door preparation is required.

#218 and #220 Hinge Now U.L. approved! The Underwriters Laboratories labeled #220 and #218 SOSS Invisible Hinge can be used on hollow metal, sheet metal, tin clad, steel composite or wood core swinging type fire doors with 20 minute rating. Allow no more than 20" of door height and 60 pounds per hinge. Special jamb and door preparation is required. 

The one and two piece reinforcements are available for sizes #216, #18, #220, #418 and #420.

The SOSS Invisible Closer gives you a closer that is totally invisible from either side when the door is closed. When the door is open, you see only the hinge face and links

The closure rate is completely adjustable with an allen wrench after installation, and does not require removal of the closer.

Installation can be either inside the door itself or inside the door jamb. Allow one closer for each 75 pounds of door weight.

SOSS Invisible Closers are available either in Satin Brass (US4) or Satin Chrome (US26D) in sizes #216, #218, and #220. Fire rated closers also are available (see chart above).

The SOSS Invisible Closer is ideally suited for all types of doors 1 3/8" thick or more. Recommended spacing is one half of the distance from the center of the door to the center of the top hinge.

Designed to assist in routing for two, three or four SOSS Invisible Hinges. Easily adjusts to the height of the door or frame. Lets you set the hinges to their exact location. Locks in so two, three or four mortises can be routed out without moving the router guides.

The SOSS Invisible Hinge catalog is available on a CD. The CD offers the entire SOSS catalog with updates, complete cad drawings that can be exported to cad programs, all literature and instructions, and a 10 minute video that explains how to easily install the SOSS hinge using wood templates. The CD is based on Adobe Acrobat Reader and operates similar to the Sweet Source Discs.
