Southwall Family of Products

Product Application Guide

Southwall represents the family of glazings beyond low-e, granting the freedom to design with glass across all building types and climate conditions.

Heat Mirror™ Insulated Glass

Heat Mirror, when compared with other insulated glass products, including low-e provides extraordinary daylighting, superior insulating values, unparalleled protection from harmful UV rays and higher STC ratings minimizing unwanted noise.

FOR: Libraries, Museums,  Art Galleries, High Humidity Environments, Bookstores, Custom Homes - North & East Building Elevations

With extremely high daylight transmission, very low reflectance and moderate solar control, Heat Mirror 88 and TC 88 provide high insulation on shaded walls, moderate solar control and passive heating benefits where desired.

FOR: Glass dominated Office Buildings, Hospitals, Medical Office Buildings, Recreation Centers, Schools, Banks, Auto Dealerships, Restaurants, Custom Homes - sun drenched areas.

With high daylight transmission, low to medium reflectance and high solar control, Heat Mirror 77, 66, and SC75 provide additional levels of protection from unwanted heat gain and sun-facing vertical walls.

FOR: "Glass Roof" applications such as skylights, sunrooms and other severe solar conditions coupled with large expanses of glass

With medium daylight transmission, medium reflectance and extremely high solar control, Heat Mirror 55 and 44 provide the greatest level of protection from unwanted heat again.

California Series® Insulated Glass

California Series meets most safety glass requirements, offers resistance to forced entry, protection from harmful UV rays and unwelcome noise.

FOR: Restaurants, Retail Spaces, Custom Homes, Monolithic Skylight Applications

California Series is used most frequently in temperate and warm weather climates. When two-way visibility is an important element, these products provide clear or lightly tinted protection from solar gain. As a monolithic glass product, it is easily installed into new or retrofit conditions.

Solis® Applied Film

Solis products are virtually invisible glass treatments, which provide greater protection from unwanted heat, glare and harmful UV rays.

FOR: Existing Restaurants, Retail Spaces, Fast Food Stores, Offices, and Residential Applications

Solis is a non-reflective, daylight-friendly solution for existing glass conditions. Available in clear, tinted, and safety.
