- Engineered in single, dual and quad refrigerant circuit
designs for different load conditions
- Specially designed enhanced surface tubing delivers superior
heat exchange
- Internal baffles, contoured and spaced to deliver optimum
¾ow patterns
- Removable heads facilitate field service
- Mounting brackets, lifting lug and factory insulation are
standard features
- 36 FSX models from 5 thru 800 tons
Conformance
Standard FSX chiller barrels are constructed to ASME
standards for 225 psi tube side and 150 psi shell side working pressures. Each unit is
tested before shipment and ratings are developed through extensive laboratory testing and
computer modeling.
Nominal Tonnage Rating Basis
Nominal ratings are based on ARI standard 480:
1 ton = 12,000 Btu/hr
54°F. inlet water
44°F. outlet water
35°F. refrigerant 22 SATURATED SUCTION
7° superheat
100°F. liquid entering TXV
0.00025ft2 hr °F/Btu additive fouling factor (total 0.0005ft2 hr °F/Btu)
Limitations
- For water applications a minimum evaporating temperature
above 32°F. should be maintained in the evaporator to prevent freezing.
- Maximum water entering temperature of 70°F.
- Minimum outgoing water temperature of 36°F.
- Minimum approach 5° (for approaches 6° or less, system
should be designed to insure proper oil return).
Note: For brine, low temperature and special design
applications, please consult Standard for complete technical assistance. |
