Protect Compressors, Reduce Maintenance, Increase Systems Efficiency Todays high-performance refrigeration systems call for high-efficiency suction line heat exchangers that can help to protect compressors and reduce maintenance. Theyre specifically designed to transfer heat from liquid as it leaves the condenser on the high pressure side of the system to the vapor leaving the suction line on the low side of the systems evaporator. Heres how you benefit from Standards SLC & SLS Series:
Features
SLS & SLC Selection Nominal SLC and SLS selections should be based on system horsepower. This should provide a nominal 10° F subcooling and a nominal 20° F suction superheat for R-22 and R-502, at 110° F condensing, 25° F suction. (ex. A 3 hp system requires an SLC-3) Do not select an undersized model to avoid high suction pressure drops and gas whistling. Models selected based on system hp and liquid line sizes are applicable for standard low, medium, and high temperature refrigeration systems. Oversized models can provide additional liquid subcooling, and suction superheat. However, proper compressor performance can only be attained if the suction gas temperature to the compressor is not raised above 65° F. |
