Hollywood Director Robert Altman, and his company, came to the Corinth Little Theater seeking characters with authentic Mississippi accents to cast for his new film, "Cookie's Fortune." Worsham was one of about 50 auditioned, that landed a speaking part! Part of the plot is set at the Presbyterian Church in Holly Springs, Mississippi. Worsham appears in several scenes and has several speaking lines, including a scene where he is playing the part of Roman General in a church play, donned in a toga! That is if he doesn't get edited on the cutting floor. Also appearing in "Cookies Fortune" with Worsham is Glenn Close, Ned Beatty, Patricia Neal, Chris O'Donnell, Lyle Lovett, and Julianne Moore. The movie is expected to be released Spring'99. Worsham will be signing autographs at the National Sales Meeting in San Diego. Meanwhile, for now, he is keeping his day job of selling about a million dollars of Star steel this year! |
