Stepstone, Inc. has produced high quality precast concrete products for
30 years. Each of the products described in the following brochures is the result of our
three decades of manufacturing experience. The variety of products we offer also shows our
commitment to the architectural community.
Over the past decade, we have worked with designers to develop almost one new product each
year. Starting in the early 1980's Stepstone, Inc. pioneered the
bolt-on-to-wood stringer stairtread (STEPTREADS). Designers welcomed the durability of
concrete and the aesthetic value of wood timbers. Ten years later this bolt-on system has
become the multi-family residential industry standard.
In 1982, commercial architects and builders were demanding creative responses to ballast
problems for singleply membrane roof systems. Stepstone, Inc. led west
coast manufacturers with the introduction of a line of roof pavers (BALLASTONES /
ROOFTRAC). Today, our roof pavers allow designers to create usable roof plazas and deck's
where once there was just wasted space.
Later in the 1980's, our attention returned to ground level and we began to develop the
CLASSIC line of hardscape products: CLASSIC WALKS, CLASSIC WALL CAP and the CLASSIC GARDEN
STEP & RISER. The CLASSIC line truly represents the intersection of our production
expertise and our dedication to distinctive design elements. CLASSIC WALKS, WALL CAP and
GARDEN TREADS are affordable, yet still offer a range of standard colors and unique
finishes.As we move into the'90's, we are
introducing a new roof deck paver (DRY DECK). Also, we're designing a stairway landing
system that will allow maximum job-by-job flexibility as well as providing a seamless
transition from steps to landing surface.
