What does this mean?
The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) has certified
the product.
So what I live in Kansas. Under the CSA symbol you will notice the letters "NRTL/C".
This indicate that the product was tested to meet U.S. standards as well as Canadian
standards.
On December 24, 1992, CSA's Rexdale (Toronto) facility
was officially accredited by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA), as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). The CSA's accreditation
covers testing and certification to over 360 ANSI/UL Standards for a wide
range of electrical, electronic and other products which require testing or certification
by a NRTL, in accordance with OSHA regulations.
