1. Mix with 1/2" drill mixer for 1.5 to 2
minutes at 400 to 500 rpm.
2. Apply with circular motion
perpendicular to surface. Compressor
pressure should be between 88 and
147 psi. Keep sprayer 12 to 16 inches
from surface and use a stable and
constant motion.
3. Allow to dry for 24 hours at 70
degrees F. Damp or colder weather
may require longer drying time
4. Pull tape must be promptly
removed.
5. It is recommended that a test
sample be prepared for architect /
owner approval prior to beginning
work.
6. Main Coat may be applied to
horizontal, vertical or sloped surfaces
but it should not be used as a
waterproof coating in place of roofing
material.
7. Apply at 56 Degrees Fahrenheit
when the temperature will remain at
that level or above for two hours. Allow
24 hours drying time at above 50
degrees Fahrenheit prior to top coat
application
8. Optimum thickness:
SI = 0.04 to 0.06 inch with the heavier
application in areas of extreme
weathering
SE = 0.04 to 0. 12 inch with the
heavier application in areas of
extreme weathering. Thicker
applications may be made to cover
surface flaws.
9. SB (coarse) main coat is applied
by two hopper guns working
simultaneously on small adjacent
areas. One gun shoots the color (other
SE or SI ) and the other gun shoots the
heavy aggregate This application
requires skill and the operators should
practice on a test area to obtain
consistency.
10. A very light hand sanding, in areas
where people may come into contact
with the surface, is recommended to
remove possible sharp granite edges
prior to the application of the top coat.
