700 SERIES SPECIFICATIONS
AND FEATURES

Features and Options

Sub-Zero’s industry leadership is evident in this new approach to residential refrigeration. Our tradition of excellence is evident in all of these features and options.

• Functional Design. These units can be placed anywhere in the home. Think about "point-of-use refrigeration" when planning where to place your units. Kitchens can be laid out so no congestion occurs.

• Built-in Design. All Sub-Zero units are 24" deep. These 700 Series units must have 5/8-inch minimum panels that do not exceed a 40 pound weight limit for the door or 12 pounds for the drawer. They will be compatible with virtually any cabinetry and be invisible when installed properly.

• Microprocessor. The "brains" of the 700 Series units, this computer allows the best in temperature control, efficiency and food preservation.

• Temperature Zones. On the tall and base refrigerator and combination units, you have the flexibility of having multiple temperatures within the same unit.

• Adaptive Defrost. Depending on the usage and the exact climate, the 700 Series unit will adapt to the unique situation and adjust accordingly to offer greater efficiency.

• Toe Plate. Adjustable solid toe plate meets the standards of the American Institute of Architects. Inset area for a solid, decorative toe plate is 4-inch high by 3-inch deep. You can show a 10-inch toe plate, but you cannot cover the louvers in this area. If you choose, the louvered grille can be painted.

• Front Venting. All units have the mechanical equipment in an area below the lower drawer. The lower drawer panel can extend to cover these louvers, but a decorative toe plate cannot cover the fins. A decorative toe plate can be placed over the lower 4-inch area, but it must be removable for cleaning and service.

• Halogen Lighting. A bright, white light offers even illumination throughout the entire unit.

• Door/Drawer Alarm. If your door or drawer is accidentally left open for more than 15 seconds an audible alarm will sound. You can easily disarm this feature when you are cleaning the unit or adding groceries.

• Drip-Proof Shelves. All shelves in the cabinet sections of the tall units feature totally adjustable drip-proof one-piece glass shelves that are easily removed for cleaning or repositioning.

• Dairy Shelf. This magnetically sealed compartment is fully adjustable on the tall refrigerator and combination unit for small items that need a fresh environment.

• Crisper Cover. On the tall and base refrigerator units, a removable crisper cover is offered for one of the drawer sections. On the combination unit, the crisper is attached to one of the adjustable shelf assemblies.

• Deli-Drawer. Smaller items are not lost in this handy feature of the tall refrigerator unit.

• Egg Tray. You can easily store a dozen eggs on this removable egg tray that is offered on the tall refrigerator and combination units.

• Ice Maker. An automatic ice maker, providing crescent-shaped ice, is available as an option on the tall and base freezers as well as the tall combination unit. This optional equipment must be factory installed.

• Automatic Defrost. All Sub-Zero 700 Series units have an automatic defrost system.

• Door Swing. You can choose left or right door swing on the tall units. This option must be ordered when requesting the unit. You cannot reverse the door in the field.

• Door Stop. On all of the tall units, a 90 degree door stop is built in to the patented hinge of this unique product. Normal door swing is 105 degrees.

• Temperature Zones. With the microprocessor in the 700 Series units, you have the capability of setting temperatures to ensure food is stored at its optimum level.

Different foods enjoy different temperatures and humidity levels, and with the 700 Series food storage system, you have the ability to set different temperatures. The micro-processor will read the temperature in each zone every second and make any necessary adjustments.

Temperature zones and optimum ranges for all units:

• 700TR–Three Zones 34 to 45 degrees.

• 700BR–Two Zones 34 to 45 degrees.

• 700TF(I)–One Zone minus five to plus five degrees.

• 700BF(I)–One Zone minus five to plus five degrees.

• 700TC(I)–Two Zones Cabinet – 34 to 45 degrees;

Drawers – minus five to plus five degrees.
