| Call us
overachievers, call us obsessive, call us what you may; but we believe our toilets must
perform to a higher set of standards when other toilets. We believe testing should meet
the needs of life, not the minimum industry standard.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) requires
that a toilet be put through a battery of tests to ensure that it
meets a uniform set of standards. Toilets not meeting these standards
cannot legally be sold in the US.
ASME only requires a toilet to pass four
basic tests. TOTO has not only proven itself in these tests, but we put our products
through six additional tests that go above and beyond these government imposed standards.
Our tests are based on real life
simulations using organic matter and tissue paper, similar to tests used by NASA. These
tests have been designed to simulate every aspect of a normal functioning toilet. So, by
the time our toilets reach your home, they've not only surpassed all of the ASME tests,
they're ready for real life.
What does all of this testing deliver?
Performance and award-winning results. In fact, two major municipalities reports have
listed TOTO gravity flush toilets (CST703) as the number one 1.6 Gpf toilet in overall
consumer satisfaction.
So while other toilet manufacturers use the
ASME tests to measure their toilet's performance, to us, they're just a warm-up. |
