Specific Trane centrifugal chiller performance is certified by ARI Standard 550. Trane centrifugal chillers tested within the scope of the ARI program display this ARI symbol of compliance to certification sections of ARI Standard 550.

Those applications in this catalog specifically excluded from the ARI certification program are:

  • Low temperature applications, including ice storage
  • Glycol
  • Chillers above 2000 tons
  • Free cooling
  • Heat recovery
  • Auxiliary condenser
  • Chillers that are 50 Hertz
