Insulation
All low temperature surfaces are covered with 3/4 inch Armaflex II or equal (K
= 0.28), including the evaporator and water boxes,
suction line, motor housing and liquid/vapor separator.
Smooth Bore Condenser Tubes
Smooth bore copper tubes are available for high fouling water applications.
Smooth bore condenser tubes are 3/4" diameter and
.035 wall thickness.
Cupro-nickel Condenser Tubes
Cupro-nickel condenser tubes are available for special applications. 90/10 cupro-nickel
tubes are 3/4" diameter and .035 wall thickness.
Refrigerant Isolation Valves
Factory installed condenser inlet and outlet refrigerant valves allow isolation of the full refrigerant charge in the condenser
while servicing the chiller.
300 psig Evaporator Waterboxes
Waterboxes are designed for 300 psig maximum waterside working pressure. Grooved pipe water connections are provided
for ease of installation.
Standard Ice Making
Controls and safeties to allow operation with brine temperatures greater than
or equal to 20 F. Includes dual setpoints for ice
making capability and daytime comfort cooling. A
typical application would include Climatice ® ice storage system with daytime chiller operation above 40 F. (requires options module)
Options Module
Accepts generic building automation system inputs for current limit setpoint and chiller water setpoint via 2-10 VDC or
4-20 mA signal. Outputs a 2-10 VDC or 4-20 mA signal to
a generic BAS to monitor compressor % RLA. Outputs a
binary signal to a generic BAS for use with condenser limit control. Allows remote enable/disable of ice making operation.
Solid State Starter
An optional Solid State Starter is unit mounted with a NEMA 1 gasketed enclosure.
To increase starter life, bypass contactors are
provided to bypass current from the silicon control
rectifiers (SCRs) after startup.
Non-fused Disconnect
The non-fused molded case disconnect switch (UL approved) is used to disconnect
the chiller from main power and comes pre-wired from
the factory with terminal block power connections.
The external operator handle is lockable.
Circuit Breaker
A standard interrupting molded case capacity circuit breaker (UL approved) is available. The circuit breaker can also be
used to disconnect the chiller from main power and
comes pre-wired from the factory with terminal block
power connections. The external operator handle is lockable.
High Interrupting Capacity Circuit Breaker
A high interrupting molded case capacity circuit breaker (UL approved) is also
available. The circuit breaker can also be used to
disconnect the chiller from main power and comes
pre-wired from the factory with terminal block power connections. The external
