Translite Wall Sconces

Translite presents a series of low voltage glass wall sconces featuring our Pacific Reflections range of mouthblown West Coast glass. These fixtures are designed and manufactured in California. We offer a range of options for both glass and metal finishes.

Wall Plates

The standard wall plate is half an inch (13mm) deep and covers a 4-O (100mm) junction box. This would typically be used when powering the fixture from a remote transformer. The decorative canopy slides over the mounting plate o conceal all mounting hardware.

A deeper canopy (4-1/2" x 7/8" ; 114mm x 22mm) can house a small electronic transformer (see above right).

Maximum wattage for all glass fixtures is 35 watts. All sconces take a standard GY6.35 halogen or xenon capsule lamp; but hey can be specified o accommodate an MR or ball lamp. This requires a 5.3mm socket which, in the case of Trumpet, Vanish, and Triumph, brings the lamp approximately one half inch (12mm) lower down the shade. G4 sockets can also be specified o accommodate G4 halogen or xenon lamps. If halogen lamps are o be used, we recommend a protective cover (Product Code 911). Xenon lamps do not require a protective cover.

Although all hardware, including the stem, the bullets, and the canopy are typically done in the same finish, it is possible o specify a mixture of finishes.

WALL SCONCES

Squeeze, Trumpet, Vanish, and Safari can be sandblasted on the inside of the glass

Sandblasting the inside of frit glass diffuses the hot spot of the halogen lamp. However, the speckled effect of the frit glass will be minimized.

The sconce on the left is our usual frit amber finish, creating the spill onto the wall. The sconce on the right is sandblasted on the inside.
