BASIS BEAM
The two conductors are natural, anodized, or plated extruded aluminum. Square tube
construction maximizes strength. Standard track length is 6' (1.83m). Bendable at factory
to 18" (457mm) radius. Field cuttable. Spans up to 42" (1m) between supports.
Basis Beam is rated for 500w at 12volts and 1000w at 24volts. Standard Basis Beam includes
sockets (for 5.3mm lamps) placed at 12" (300mm) intervals starting 6" (150mm)
from the end. For custom socket placement, specify Basis Beam with no sockets (BB-505),
and order sockets (BB-616 or BB-611) separately. Be sure to indicate interval and starting
distance from the end. |

Three Conductors
Basis Beam allows either a 24 volt power supply to be used with 12 volt lamps on one
circuit; or alternatively, two 12 volt power supplies to be used with 12 volt lamps on two
independent circuits (sharing a neutral). |

BASIS BEAM SOCKETS
(PAIR)
Sockets are made of 24K gold plated brass. They are sprung to hold the lamp securely to
insure good mechanical and electrical contact.
One socket consists of two gold pins spaced at either 5.3mm for MR16 lamps, 4mm for MR11
lamps, or 6.35mm for Xenon lamps. Be sure to specify interval and starting point from
the end of the track. |
