TRIATEK's AD-1300 Series Ana.og inout to Tri-State Output
accepts a mADC or VDC signal from an autornation or control sys-tem.compares that reading
to the feedback potentiometer reading and sets the Tri-State output. The three output
states can be eitherincrease (to open valve), decrease no dose valve) or no action (to
keep valve at current position).
The feedback potentiometer input serves as a reference for
the controller to insure that actuator position matches the control signal. When the
module receives an ana-log input which is different from the setpoint reflected by the
feedback
potentiometer, the module auto-matically increments or
decrements until the reference potentiometer reflects a position caned for by the control
system. This action is sometimes called Forward Reverse switching with center-off action,
Field adjustable potentiometers areprovided to tune the position con-troller for various
actuator travel requirements or position- settings on other types of actuators The
feed-back potentiometer leeas can be reversed for reverse action.
LEDs on the unit indicate that power is present as well as
visual increment and decrement output status.
A No-Feedback version is available for use with systems
that can output a control signal as low value (e.g., decrement) or high value (e.g.,
increment' for a con-trolled period and controlled inter-val. Output must rest at a
dead-band value for a programmed time interval while waiting for feedback from the
process being controlled.
This unit has Triac outputs ratedat120VAC,4ampandcapa-ble
of driving valves, actuators, contactors. or motor starters for a variety of control
applications. The control input signal is ground loop isolated from the power
supply input and triac output.
