INSTRUCTIONS

General Description:

  1. The Lav Shield™ is designed to be used in combination with ADA conforming 20" x 18" lavatories with rear waste outlets as in Illustration 1.
  2. Offset tailpiece assembly may be necessary if P-trap interferes with Lav Shield™ as in illustration 2.
  3. Depending on the make and model of the lavatory, some scribing and coping may be required for satisfactory fit to underside of lavatory.
  4. Tamper resistant fasteners are available, call Truebro.

Installation of Lav Shield™:

  1. Position Lav Shield™ centered and square to underside of lavatory as high as possible. Temporarily affix to wall with 2" tape (duct, masking, packaging, etc.)
  2. Using a pencil compass carefully hold it so the pencil tip and compass point are 90° to the floor at all times as in illustration 3. Scribe cut line on Lav Shield™ where material needs to be cut away for proper fit.
  3. Using sabre saw, carefully cut to line and file smooth as in illustration 4.
  4. Once satisfactory fit is obtained, position Lav Shield™ and mark anchor holes for fastening.
  5. Drill 3/16" holes for anchors and screw Lav Shield™ into place.
