General Description

The new BASIN GUARD is a high-quality, aesthetically attractive undersink enclosure designed to cover plumbing and mechanical connections under ADA - compliant kitchen sinks* and restroom lavatories where countertops and sidewalls are present. Shaped in the form of a sleek protective shield, the BASIN GUARD conceals continuous-waste plumbing connections, garbage disposals, electronic wiring components, mixing valves, and trap primer components while allowing for easy service and proper knee and toe clearances mandated by ADA for wheelchair users.

*Please note: the BASIN GUARD must be specified in combination with ADA-conforming kitchen sinks (for example, Elkay ADA-R Line) with 5 1/2" deep bowls and rear waste outlets. Two sizes are available: Model #36 for maximum cabinet opening of 36", and Model #42 for a maximum cabinet opening of 42".

• 36" and 42" enclosures are easy to specify, stock and install. The BASIN GUARD may by used with virtually any ADA-compliant kitchen sink or restroom lavatory where countertops and sidewalls are present. Such sinks are commonly specified in H.U.D. housing elderly housing, condominiums, hotels, motels, and schools with in-classroom sinks.
• Single-piece configuration is easy to service. By removing the mounting screws, the BASIN GUARD may be simply and quickly removed for convenient, unhindered access to all plumbing and mechanical components. Re-installation, takes just minutes.
• High-impact, UV-protected vinyl maximizes product lifecycle. The BASIN GUARD is molded from impact-resistant, stain-resistant, and chemical-resistant protective vinyl for durability, safety, and long life.
• "Front shield" design protects undersink components from tampering. All continuous-waste piping, electronic faucet connections, dishwasher connections, garbage disposals, mixed valves, trap primers, and instantaneous hot water heaters are concealed behind this heavy-duty enclosure.
• Strict code compliance minimizes risk. The BASIN GUARD complies with ADA article 4.19.4, California P 1504B, ANSI A117.1, BOCA P 1203.4, and other state and local regulations. The BASIN GUARD's Bolteron protective vinyl is UL tested and listed (ASTM E-84), satisfies NFPA Class A interior finish material safety code 101 and BOCA Class 1 interior finish material code for fire and smoke ratings.
