OVER-THE-POST FITTINGS

W


The following fittings are available for the rails indicated below:

Traditional
oak07a.jpg (9186 bytes)
7000 for
6010 rail
Traditional (Wide)

6210 rail
Mountain

6410 rail

When two numbers are indicated for a fitting, the higher number is for the right-hand version, and the lower number is for the left-hand version.


Return End

7009, 7209, 7409

Return ends are small fittings that end a length of rail. Often used on level handrails when used as wall rails.


Starting Easing With Cap

7010, 7210, 7410

The most basic method of starting an over-the-post stairway.


90° Up-Easing

7014, 7214, 7414

This fitting makes a tight 90° up-turn between horizontal and vertical sections of rail.


Starting Easing With Return End

Starting easings with return ends are frequently used to provide a starting for an angled handrail used as a wall rail.


Over-Easing With Return End

Over-easings with return ends are frequently used to provide an ending for an angled handrail used as a wall rail.


7030 or 7035 Volute

7030 or 7035, 7230 or 7235, 7430 or 7435

This volute is the most dramatic method available to start a stairway. It requires a volute newel, five additional balusters, and a starting step.


Turnout and Short Turnout*

7040 or 7045, 7240 or 7245, 7440 or 7445, 7041 or 7046*, 7241 or 7246*

Turnouts are elegant methods to start a stairway when a little extra flair is desired. Requires a turnout newel, an extra baluster, and a starting step.


2-Riser Gooseneck With Up-Easing

7050 or 7055, 7250 or 7255, 7450 or 7455

Used at the turning point of a stairway where a landing is involved to connect two angled sections of rail.
