Greek Doric- 400
The distinguishing characteristic of the Greek Doric Order
is the absence of a base and the height of the column in relationship to its diameter.
When used in true architectural proportions, the height of the column, including capital
and base, is five and one-half diameters. Greek Doric columns in antiquity are found on
the Parthenon in Athens. |

|
Greek Doric Columns are available in fluted
or unfluted versions. They may be ordered in classic architectural proportions as
described above or in custom combinations of column lengths and widths as well as in
non-tapered cylinders. Square Architectural Columns and Pilasters to match detail of Round
Tapered Columns are available. |
