Uplift loads have been increased 1/3 for wind or earthquake. No further increase is allowed.

PRODUCT FEATURES
  • These hurricane and seismic anchors add resistance to wind uplift and earthquake lateral loads, by utilizing correctly located screw holes for fast, easy, economical and strong attachment of rafters and trusses to studs and track.
  • Fabricated of 18 and 16 gauge steel.

INSTALLATION

  • Use all specified fasteners in schedule to achieve values listed.
  • Products which tie the truss or rafter to the stud below may be installed on either side of the wall or they may be installed on both sides of the wall for twice the load resistance.

Uplift loads as well as lateral loads have been increased 1/3 for wind or earthquake. No further increase is allowed.

PRODUCT FEATURES
  • Accommodates diverse design requirements for concrete to steel installation. Requires only 4" embedment in concrete.
  • Concrete compressive strength is minimum of 2000psi.
  • 18 gauge galvanized steel.
  • Other sizes available.

INSTALLATION

  • Use specified fasteners from schedule to achieve maximum load.
  • When an ETA is used on a truss, the ETA must be installed so it wraps over the top chord of the truss as shown.
  • When ETA is wrapped over the top of the truss, two screws are to be applied on the side of the ETA that is embedded while one screw is to be applied on the opposite side.
  • Two anchors may be installed, one on each side of truss, for twice the load resistance.

Universal Framing Angles - UFA, UFAF
