This unique steel truss framing was developed over a two
year period. Rigorous standards were set by the engineering team for product design and
performance. The complete system underwent exhaustive laboratory and field tests before it
was released to the market. It is strong, lightweight and simple to build, with design
software in place to support layout and engineering.
TrusSteel provides superior strength. Its roll formed lip allows the raw
material to lay flat. As a result finished trusses stack flat and band easily. The flange
design avoids dangerous sharp edges and virtually eliminates damage to objects pulled
through the trusses.
Making the steel simple to build was an engineering
challenge. Our Research and Development Team designed a double shear screw that speeds
fabrication by allowing the truss to be assembled from just one side.
Design software was developed to assure the system works as
well for residential construction as it does for commercial projects. Design freedom and
engineering accuracy are the hallmarks of this new system.
