HVAC&R System Components
Hydronic radiant heating systems circulate heated fluid through tubing in the floors or walls to create even, constant
temperatures in homes and work areas. Efficient and economical to install, Vanguard's flexible tubing installs easier and more
quickly than metal piping.

Water contained in buried piping is warmed by the earth's temperature to bring heat energy to the ground source heat pump,
and then circulated through the house to provide hydronic radiant heat.
Hydronic Radiant Heating... Efficient and Comfortable
Conventional forced air heating systems blow heated air through ductwork, causing currents or "drafts" which result in uneven
and often uncomfortable temperature distribution.
Hydronic radiant heating, on the other hand, warms the room from the floor upward, allowing efficient and proper heat
dispersion.
Vanguard Offers Quality, Variety
Vanguard manufactures flexible PEX tubing used worldwide in hydronic systems. With operational design ratings of 180° F @
100 psi, cross-linked polyethylene is a proven choice for systems which circulate heated fluids.
Vanguard Tubing Offers Benefits, Resists Cracking, Corrosion
Because it's flexible, Vanguard tubing is resistant to damage from shifting slabs. It also resists corrosion, scaling and rust better
than conventional metal pipe and tubing products. In addition, Vanguard offers a full line of tools and transition fittings for
connection to other system components.
A Full Line of Ground Source Geo-Products
Vanguard provides installers of ground source heat pump systems with a versatile pipe and fittings package. The
Geo-Products line includes durable, time-tested high density polyethylene pipe, socket heat fusion-welded fittings, complete
heat fusion tool kits and accessories, and GS-4 ™ heat transfer/antifreeze fluid specially designed for ground source industry
applications such as freezer warehouses, ice rinks and snow melt systems.
Vanguard Geo-Black high density polyethylene pipe is ideally suited for the demanding conditions required by the
earth-coupled "heat exchanger" circuits. Geo-Black is also available in custom coil lengths to meet specific system designs,
along with pre-assembled and pressure-tested return u-bends.
Vanguard manufactures, tests and calibrates electric socket fusion tools for system assembly and continues to be the leading
supplier of this equipment to the Ground Source Heat Pump industry.
