More Light

The Uni-Form^® pulse start formed body arc tube follows the actual shape of the arc stream. This unique contour allows more halides to be pulled into the arc stream, producing higher lumens.

New, more efficient pulse start ballasts are designed to realize the best performance from the lamps. These low current crest factor ballasts with high voltage ignitors, combined with Venture's^® unique arc tube design, allow higher fill pressures to be used in the arc chamber. The result is reduced tungsten deposits on the arc tube wall, providing higher light levels  initially (20% more) and significantly more maintained light over time (40% more) than today's standard metal halide system.

Longer Life

The Uni-Form^® pulse start systems offers up to 50% longer lamp life. The high voltage pulse ignitor in the ballast permits higher gas pressure to be used in the formed body arc chamber. Higher pressures reduce wall blackening commonly experienced with standard technology due to sputtering of tungsten metal from the electrodes at each start. The result is longer lamp life because of less electrode damage, reduced arc tube darkening, and improved lumen maintenance. The direct benefits are lower replacement cost and reduced lifetime operating cost. Longer life for the lamp means less replacement for the end-user.

Superior Lumen Maintenance

The combination of the Uni-Form^® formed body arc tube, pulse start ignitor, and low current crest factor ballast results in higher maintained lumens over the entire life of the lamp. The end result is a dramatic improvement in design or mean lumens, as much as 40%. The light output stays bright even after thousands of hours!
