The Uni-Form^® pulse start 400 watt system offers increased initial light output and better maintained lumens than a standard pinch body lamp. A 400 watt pulse start application requires fewer fixtures than one using pinch body technology.

Standard 400 watt lamps rated for open fixtures contain no protective arc tube shroud. The 400 watt Uni-Form^® pulse start lamp, on the other hand, is a true open fixture design containing this protective shroud. It can be safely use din fixtures with no cover glass, lowering fixtures costs and improving lumen maintenance. Applications include gas station canopy lighting, industrial highbay, sign lighting, big box retail, grocery store, and floodlighting.
