TS/TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Since application of any coating system involves a high degree of knowledge and experience in areas of substrate, modern application equipment, and product compatibility, it cannot be left in the hands of applicators who do not have the requisite training and background. Therefore, to ensure proper application of a given coating system, it is essential that the architect in all cases place the specifications under a SPECIAL COATINGS section. By doing so, he highlights the fact that he is demanding a specific product applied by an experienced technician.

VITRICON is your best selection for new concrete or masonry surfaces because the cool, damp, high humidity conditions that normally exist in new construction actually aid in its curing.

VITRICON qualifies as an incombustible coating, under both ASTM E-84 (tunnel test) and Federal Standard 00136a (radiant panel test).

Vitricon was tested in accordance with ASTM E-84-61 and demonstrated surface burning characteristics well within the limits generally imposed by building codes for interior finishes in hazardous areas.

VIPoxy® 260 (A,C,J) A two component, thermosetting epoxy resin coating, for exterior or interior, that provides an extremely tough durable finish, highly resistant to all acids, alkalis, solvents, greases and oils.

Recommended for areas of industrial plants, institutional and public buildings where extreme resistance to chemical and solvent attack is desired. Available in an almost unlimited selection of color and patterns, in gloss and satin finishes, plus a clear coating for porous surfaces such as common red brick.

VIPOXY 260 was tested in compliance with the requirements of the ASTM E84 standard and the test specimen exhibited no flame spread fuel or smoke hazard.

VIPOXY 260 complies with specifications TT-C-550-c and federal specifications TT-C-001224.
