The Walker Textile System

The Textile System works through a system of Rods and Bars each specially designed to help you hang every fabric display at the proper height. First a determination is made on the type of wall fastener to be used. Either an individual Wall Mount or Wall Molding is used, to provide an anchor for the rest of the display. In certain situations, when textiles need to be hung from existing molding or from pipe or rods, special sleeves are used, and the above Wall Mounts and Molding are not used. The zinc plated Wall Mounts are hidden by the art work. The aluminum Molding comes in anodized bronze or clear, painted white or black, or unfinished to be painted to your desired color.

When Molding is used, Rods and corresponding Sleeves become the second step to hanging your fiber art, hooking over the edge of the Molding.

The final piece of the system, the Rod or Bar, is the section from which your textile actually hangs. The Rod utilizes the "Rod and Sleeve" method, where a rod is slipped through a fabric sleeve sewn or pinned to the back of the textile to be displayed.

The Bar method consists of a solid bar using "Hook and Loop" in which Velcro® attachments connect the fabric to the display unit.

Textile display units offer an attractive, efficient and simple way to hang any fabric. They are easy to move, and allow you to change the design of the room as often as you'd like. Design changes can be done without climbing a ladder, worrying about hanging the textile straight, or covering up old nail holes. The Textile System offers a size, shape and color for virtually every situation.
