When specifying sprinkler pipe, we suggest the following:

Sprinkler pipe requirements:

• Manufactured in USA.
• Meet ASTM A-795F,ANSI/ASMEB1.20.1, Schedule 30 ANSI/ASME B36.10M-1995, UL, ULC
  and NFPA 13 standards.
• Factory Mutual approved.
• Passed both hydrostatic and eddy current tests.
• Approved for use with threaded, welded, rolled grooved and plain end fittings.
• Manufactured by continuous furnace weld method.
• Wheatland WLS sprinkler pipe.

MARKING

The following marking appears as a continuous gold stencil along the length of pipe:

CORROSION RESISTANCE RATIO (CRR)

The CRR is a ratio value used to measure the ability of a pipe to withstand corrosion. Schedule 40 steel pipe is used as the benchmark (value of 1.0). The average CRR values shown below are higher than other similar lightwall steel sprinkler pipes. The following are
the specific values by pipe size:
