I-JOISTS

I-joists are a high-strength, cost efficient alternative to conventional framing; exceptionally stiff and lightweight with greater spanning capabilities than solid sawn lumber. Holes may he easily cut in the web according to factory recommendations, allowing ducts and utilities to he run through the joists.

Willamette l-joists are suitable for use in combination with all framing systems.

Unlike conventional lumber, l-joists are dimensionally stable and uniform in size, with no crown. This keeps floors quieter, reduces field modifications, and eliminates rejects in the field, l-joists may be field cut to proper length using conventional methods and tools.

Willamette Industries manufactures two families of I-Joists. StrucJoist® products are used in residential applications and are manufactured using laminated veneer lumber (LVL) flanges and oriented strand board (OSB) web materials. StrucJoists are available in common industry sizes. WSI® I-Joists products cover a broad use range including commercial and residential applications. They are available in an extensive range of products with various flange size's, flange grades of MSR or LVL, web thicknesses and depths.

All Willamette l-joist products are manufactured to stringent quality standards using high quality materials and exterior adhesives.
