STRUCLAM

Struclam® laminated veneer lumber (LVL) offers the superior performance and durability of engineered wood. It is ideally suited to spans bearing heavy loads and multi-span applications.

Generally, as the size of a piece of standard lumber increases, dimensional stability and uniformity decrease. With StrucLam, this isn't a problem. Natural detects are dispersed throughout the member, unlike solid timber with knots, checking is minimized because Willamette StrucLam is kiln-dried.

LVL is dimensionally stable and resists warping and twisting and is machined to consistently uniform size. This uniformity, in addition to a lack of crown, provides a rigid, flat surface with good nail-holding characteristics. It's a high-strength structural member you can cut, fasten and nail with ease.

StrucLam is made from laminated veneers of ultrasonically graded douglas fir bonded with exterior grade adhesives, tottering greater dimensional stability.
